Chaa Thai is a podcast spilling the tea on Peace Corps volunteer life in Thailand! Each episode, hosts Alyssa Strong and Lilly Hromadka interview a current Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand and do a deep dive on their experience at their host site. The tea is that there are as many examples of what service is like for a volunteer in Thailand as there are volunteers — join us as we get a taste!

From Lampang we hopped on the Nostalgia Train heading North to Chiang Mai and disembarked at the home of another YinD volunteer and Chaa Thai veteran, Michael. He was first interviewed only 3 short months after arriving at site, so we set up our table and plugged in our kettle to catch up on 2 years and changing perspectives. The blend this week is full-bodied and rich with love, open-mindedness, and sweet memories.
Michael reminisces all about the expectations and goals he had coming in to site, and spills all about the reality of how they played out. We pour cup after cup as he takes us on adventures, introduces us to his students, and reflects on how his service has helped him grow. Grab a chair and let us pour you a piping hot cup of happy, friendship-filled Chaa Thai!
